Who we are

This website is run by Bracken & Wild Ecology Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17502757, registered office 4b Church Street, Diss, Norfolk, IP22 4DD. Bracken & Wild Ecology Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this site and in the course of its work.

What we collect

If you contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and whatever you tell us about your site or project. If you become a client, we also keep the details needed to deliver the work and invoice you.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes, carry out the work you've asked for, invoice you, and keep the records the law requires. The legal bases are taking steps to enter into a contract, performing a contract, legal obligation (for financial records) and legitimate interests (for keeping project records).

Who we share it with

Only where necessary: contractors working on your project, our accountants, HMRC, and laboratories or records centres where the work requires it. Species and habitat records shared with records centres don't include your personal details. We don't sell or share your information for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted after 12 months. Client and project records are kept for six years after the work ends, in line with our terms and conditions and financial record-keeping rules.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@brackenandwild.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
